Let's talk

For people with a business to run

AI that actually does the work

You get your week back.

We take the repetitive work that eats your team's time and hand it to AI. A fixed-fee setup service, built around your business and kept working as the tools evolve.

We build and run these systems for our own business first. So our clients start where we finished, not where we started.

Have you ever thought...

  1. “I know this is a £5k job, but now I’ve got to spend hours doing this quote!”
  2. “Why am I the only reason anything moves around here?”
  3. “Ninety emails. Which ones do I need to deal with? Four!”
  4. “That was a great call. Now I have to follow up & action it before I get distracted.”
  5. “Why do I have to type the same information into three different systems?”
  6. “Not this report again! Why am I pulling the same information together every month?”
  7. “I know we’ve done this before. I just can’t find it.”
  8. “I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve explained that this week.”
  9. “We should be posting something, but when have I got time to create it?”
  10. “Why am I only finding out after we’ve lost the customer?”

The gap we close

Paying for AI is not the same as putting it to work

Most businesses do not need another AI demo. A demo shows what AI could do. They need somebody to make it do it reliably.

The tools are capable. The gap is everything around them. Choosing the right process, grounding the output in your company, testing it properly, showing the team how it works and keeping it useful after launch.

95% of business AI pilots show no bottom-line impact - MIT

Not because the AI fails, but because nobody configures it around your processes, brand, knowledge and rules. Then nobody keeps it working after launch. We do both.

We hand you results

Start with the work that repeats

Small tasks add up to days lost every week

We look for repeatable work with a clear input, a useful output and a person currently spending too much time in the middle.

Quotes that write their first draft

Notes, schedules and standard rates become a strong first draft ready for human review, instead of another evening at the kitchen table.

Reports that build themselves

Scattered information pulled into a consistent structure, without rebuilding it from scratch every time somebody asks for it.

An inbox that sorts itself

Incoming messages triaged, the real action identified, and the next step prepared for the right person before anyone opens it.

Market intelligence on watch

The sources that matter monitored continuously, with change turned into a short briefing you can act on. We have this running for a client now.

Admin that moves itself

Routine information carried between documents, trackers and systems, with fewer manual handoffs and fewer copy-paste mistakes.

Social content without the blank page

Real business activity turned into on-brand drafts, so posting does not depend on somebody finding a spare hour.

These are examples, not a fixed package. The right starting point depends on where time and value are being lost in your business.

What you get

Not another course. A working setup.

  1. Know where AI pays off first

One conversation identifies the work worth automating before you spend money on the wrong tools.

  2. Real work automated and tested

We build the setup around your process, test the outputs, and make sure a human stays in control where judgement matters.

  3. Outputs grounded in your business

Your approved knowledge, voice and rules become the working context, so the result sounds like your company rather than a generic chatbot.

  4. A team that can use it with confidence

Plain-English handover, clear boundaries, and no expectation that your people become AI technicians.

  5. Support as the tools change

AI moves quickly. We keep the setup useful, fix what drifts and help you take advantage of what improves. If your team gets stuck, they can come to us directly.

Need something more bespoke?

Custom process builds and integrations are available by scope.

How we work with you

From conversation to working system

  1. Conversation

We understand the business, the bottleneck, and what a useful result looks like.

  2. Setup

We choose the right tools, build the workflow around your information, and test it against real examples.

  3. Handover

Your team gets a clear working method, sensible controls, and a plain-English explanation of what happens next.

  4. Improvement

We keep the setup working, respond when the tools change, and extend it when another process is ready.

Good fit / bad fit

Built for businesses that want the benefit, not another unknown rollout

We work best with businesses that have real repeatable work and a person who knows it inside out. You do not need a technical team, a big software budget or any prior AI experience. You need a process worth fixing and somebody willing to tell us how it actually runs.

If AI is not the right answer for your problem, we will say so. Then we will point you at what might.

A good fit

  • A UK small or medium business with work that repeats every week.
  • A founder or team losing evenings to admin, research, reporting or chasing.
  • A business starting from zero, wanting somebody to set it up properly the first time.
  • A team already paying for AI subscriptions but not getting consistent work back from them.
  • A business that wants its people to stay responsible for the final decision.

Not a good fit

  • A company looking for a one-click replacement for judgement or accountability.
  • A buyer who wants to publish unverified AI output automatically.
  • A team unwilling to share the real documents, rules and examples the work needs to be grounded in.
  • A project that needs a guaranteed result before anyone has understood the process.

Not promises. Working systems.

Built for ourselves first. Running in production now.

Anyone can show you a demo. These are systems we designed, built and depend on. They are also the parts we assemble from when we build yours.

We're not selling you software, and we're not building a model. We help you pick and use the best models on the market. What you get from us is the layer underneath. Your knowledge, your rules and your processes built in, so those tools do your work rather than generic work.

Your operating system

Ask three people in your business the same question and you will often get three answers. AI has the same problem, only worse. It does not consistently remember what was agreed last week, who is doing what, or why you do things your way. Every conversation starts from nothing.

That is not a fault in the tool. It is what happens when nothing is holding the thread between one piece of work and the next.

This is the part that holds it.

Every project, decision and handover gets written down as the work happens:

  • what was done
  • what was decided
  • what is still open
  • what comes next

So work carries on where it left off, whoever picks it up: a person, an AI assistant, or someone new who was not in the room. Several people and several AI tools can work on the same business at the same time without duplicating each other or losing the plot.

This is the difference between AI that impresses you once and AI that is still doing real work in six months. Clever tools on their own drift, forget and contradict each other. This is what makes them behave like a team that has read the files.

It is the least glamorous thing we build and the most useful. It is also the honest answer to "do you actually use this stuff?" - it is what we run Emrys AI on, every day.

Your company brain

Your operating system holds the thread of the work. Your company brain holds the knowledge behind it.

Everything your business has ever written, indexed properly.

So an agent finds the exact answer and shows you where it came from.

Not every business needs this additional layer. For a smaller team with a manageable amount of information, your operating system may be all that is required. We add a company brain when the business grows, knowledge becomes spread across more people and places, or different roles need controlled access to different information.

When someone asks a question or starts a piece of work, the AI can find the part of your business that matters. It does not rely on someone knowing which folder, filename or version contains the truth. It knows where to look and can show where the answer came from.

What it changes:

  • Useful knowledge can be found even when the person asking does not know which file contains it.
  • Answers are based on your approved material, not general assumptions.
  • Proposals, documents and responses reflect your language, standards and best work.
  • Current prices, policies and processes become the reference point, not an old copy someone found first.
  • When the business has not yet answered something, the gap becomes visible instead of being quietly filled with guesswork.

Why it exists:

A business can have thousands of files and still struggle to use what it knows. The answer may exist, but it is buried in an old proposal, an inbox, a meeting transcript or the head of the one person who remembers it.

Your company brain turns stored information into working knowledge. It gives AI a reliable place to look before it answers, writes or recommends.

Your operating system stops the work losing its thread. Your company brain stops the knowledge disappearing into folders, inboxes and people's heads.

The Early Warning System

Continuous market intelligence. It watches the sources that matter to a business and turns movement into a short briefing, so you find out while you can still do something about it.

In production now for a language-services client, monitoring their target market. The same system extends to whatever a business needs to keep an eye on:

  • Competitors: pricing changes, new services, hiring signals, announcements.
  • Buyers and sectors: the markets you sell into, and what is shifting in them.
  • Regulation and standards: changes that affect how you have to operate.
  • Suppliers and risk: the things you would rather hear early than late.
  • Your own name: what is being said about you, and where.

Why it exists: most businesses find out late, from a customer. The work of watching properly is real work, it never gets urgent enough to schedule, and so it does not happen.

Clear scope. Clear price.

Fixed fee. Agreed upfront.

One fixed price for the agreed setup. No day rates, no creep, no surprises.

The first conversation is about where AI could pay off. If there is no credible use case, there is no proposal.

From

£2,500

for the OS setup & 1-2 automations

From

£200

a month to keep it sharp

Monitoring, updates and a person to ask when your team gets stuck. Heavier support is a retainer of its own, priced and agreed upfront.

The first conversation is about where AI could pay off. If there is no credible use case, there is no proposal.

Let's talk

Who you are dealing with

Three people. No account managers.

You deal directly with the people doing the work, from the first conversation to the working system, and afterwards.

Lee Candler

Lee Candler MSci BSc

Lee is a Physicist and a qualified Architectural Technologist, with ten years in construction behind him. He has started and run businesses in that sector, which is where the practical side of this comes from.

He was into AI early, first inside his own companies. What became obvious there was that most small firms can see roughly what the technology could do for them and have no realistic route to it. Closing that gap turned out to be worth building a business around, which is what this is.

He runs the first conversation, and he is one of the people building. He works the way the company sells - AI doing the heavy lifting rather than every line written by hand. What counts is not whether it impresses on day one, but whether it is still saving the business time a year in.

Matt Hipkiss

Matt Hipkiss MSci

Matt handles the data. A Physicist with twenty plus years building data infrastructure from the ground up. Warehouses, cloud migrations, and reporting that the people at the top actually open, most of it in businesses where the numbers carry real weight: insurance, life cover, derivatives trading.

That matters here more than it looks. AI is only ever as good as what sits underneath it, and a system that drafts, flags or decides anything is reading from somewhere. If that somewhere is four spreadsheets and a shared inbox, the answers come back confident and wrong. Matt builds the layer that stops it - getting a business's information into one place, in a shape that can be trusted, queried and checked.

He is hands-on rather than supervisory, and still writes the queries himself. The physics shows in how he works: measure it, and if you cannot measure it, say so.

Bailey Readings

Bailey Readings

Bailey builds systems. He takes the tools a business already runs, from the CRM to forms, calendars and document storage, and wires them into automation workflows that do the work reliably and leave a record behind them. Onboarding, lead handling, grant management, reporting, internal comms: the processes that quietly absorb a team's week.

His approach is first-principles and deliberately unglamorous. Define the outcome. Map how the work actually happens, rather than how the process document says it happens. Find the friction. Build the smallest system that gets the behaviour right, then measure whether it did. What comes out is modular and reusable rather than a one-off bot. Knowledge ingestion, AI-assisted drafting, gated pipelines, review and approval flows. Parts that get used again on the next problem.

The aim is to take the mechanical work off a team so the judgement, the relationships and the decisions stay where they belong.

Straight answers

The questions business owners actually ask

Do we need to know anything about AI?

No. We can start with a team that has no accounts, no subscriptions and no prior experience. We choose the route, set it up, and explain it in plain English.

Do we need to replace our current systems?

Usually not. The first job is to understand the systems and documents you already use, then decide where an AI layer is genuinely useful.

How long does it take?

Most setups run three to four weeks from the first mapping call to a working system in your hands. Bespoke automations and builds can take longer, depending on the scope of what is needed.

What do you need from us?

Most likely a couple of hours from the person who knows the process, spread across the setup. We do the building. You tell us how the work actually runs, then check that the output looks like yours.

Will AI make decisions without us?

Not where judgement, risk or accountability matters. We design clear human review points into the process.

Is our business information used to train public models?

The answer depends on the tools and account settings chosen for the work. We agree the data boundary before setup, and we do not make blanket promises the selected product cannot support.

What happens when the AI tools change?

That is what the continuing support is for. We check what has changed and repair what has drifted, whether that came from the provider or from accidental workarounds inside your team. We try the new functions as they ship, and when one is genuinely useful we tell your team and build it in.

How much does it cost?

The service is fixed-fee, agreed upfront once the scope is clear. No day rates, no creep, no surprise invoice. The first conversation tells us whether there is a useful project to price.

What about the AI subscriptions themselves?

Those stay yours and are paid direct to the provider. We help you pick the right ones and set them up, and we do not resell them or mark them up.

Are we tied in?

No. The monthly support runs month to month and you can stop it whenever you want. What we built stays yours either way.

What if AI is not the answer?

Then we will tell you. A smaller process fix, a better template, or ordinary automation can be the better investment.

Ready to get some time back?

Let's find the work AI should be doing

A 30-minute conversation. Bring the process that keeps landing back on your desk, and we will work out whether AI can take a useful part of it off your hands. If it cannot, you will get an honest answer and a suggestion.

Our privacy policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is deliberately short, because this site does very little with your data.

Who we are

Emrys AI is run by Lee Candler, a sole trader, who is responsible for any personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy through the contact form, and we will give you a postal address if you need one.

This site sets no cookies and does not track you

There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind on this website. We do not build a profile of you, we do not know who visits, and there is nothing for you to accept or reject.

If you fill in the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, your company name if you want to give it, and your question. We use those details to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation that follows. Nothing more.

We also see the IP address the message was sent from. That is used only to check the message came from a person rather than an automated script, and it is not stored alongside your enquiry.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests - you have asked us a question and we have an obvious interest in answering it. You can object to that at any time and we will stop.

We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing, and we will not send you anything unrelated to your enquiry.

How long we keep it: enquiries are kept for 24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted. If you become a client, the record is kept for as long as we work together and for the period our accountants and HMRC require afterwards.

Companies that handle data on our behalf

Running a website means a handful of other companies see some data. These are all standard infrastructure suppliers, and they act on our instructions.

Some of these companies are based outside the United Kingdom, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards in their own data processing terms.

If you book a call, the Calendly link takes you to Calendly's own website and their privacy policy applies from that point. Nothing is embedded in this page, so Calendly sees nothing unless you click through.

What you can ask us to do

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • show you a copy of what we hold about you
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • delete it
  • stop using it, or limit what we do with it
  • send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form

Ask us through the contact form and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this policy

If we start collecting anything new, this page is updated before that happens, and the date at the top changes.
